A day in Siena

We’re landing in the central part of Tuscany in a city which lies at 322m above sea level. It sits over 3 hills and it is one of the Italy’s most visited touristic attractions.

Welcome to Siena!

The historic centre of Siena has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site.

According to local legend, Siena was founded by  Senius and Aschius, two sons of Remus and thus nephews of Romulus, after whom Rome was named.

Christianity did not penetrate into Siena until the 4th century AD.
